What Happens If My Seller Account Is Restricted

What a restricted seller account means, why it happens, and how to fix it on TCG Mark.

Updated today

If your seller account is restricted, your TCG Mark seller onboarding is not complete yet. Restricted means Stripe still needs more information before your seller account can fully accept payments and payouts.

What restricted means

A restricted account means:

  • Your account has restrictions

  • You need to complete the verification process

  • Additional information is required to enable payments

This is different from Pending. A pending account is still in progress. A restricted account usually means you submitted details, but Stripe still cannot fully enable the account.

Why this happens

The backend moves a seller account into Restricted when details were submitted to Stripe but charges are still not enabled. That usually means Stripe needs more verification or more account information.

What you can and cannot do

While your account is restricted, seller onboarding is not complete. The app blocks important seller actions including:

  • Creating listings

  • Importing trade listings

  • Updating shipping settings

You should treat a restricted seller account as not ready to sell yet.

How to fix it

Go back to the seller onboarding flow and continue the verification process. The onboarding page gives you a direct action: Complete Verification. Use that button to return to Stripe and provide any missing information.

What happens after you resolve it

Once Stripe enables the account properly, your onboarding status moves from Restricted to Complete. When that happens:

  • Your account is marked as seller-onboarded

  • Seller-only actions are unlocked

  • You can continue with shipping setup and listing cards
