Listing Visibility: Public vs. Friends Only

How listing visibility works on TCG Mark and what public vs. friends-only means for your listings.

Updated today

TCG Mark listings include a visibility setting: Public or Friends Only. That visibility affects whether a listing appears in public marketplace surfaces.

What public visibility means

Public listings are the listings the marketplace is built around. They are used for:

  • Public marketplace availability

  • Public search results

  • Public seller profile listing views

  • Card availability lookups

The public marketplace expects listings to be both Active and Public.

What friends-only visibility means

Listings with Friends Only visibility are excluded from public marketplace queries. They are not part of the standard public browsing and search path.

What the current seller flow exposes

The current listing creation flows all create new listings as Public by default. This includes:

  • Standard sale listing creation

  • Trade listing creation

  • Inventory import flows

While the platform supports both visibility values internally, the current user-facing listing tools default to Public.

What this means for sellers today

If you are creating listings through the current standard flow, expect them to behave as public marketplace listings. The key rule is: public marketplace surfaces only use active public listings.
